Project Description & Budget

Glenmoira is seeking $800,000 to renovate and furnish a 4 bedroom home in Westlake, Ohio to house four (4) developmentally disabled adults. This $800,000 includes approximately $300,000 which has already been collected and/or committed.

The house has been purchased, using contributions received from generous donors, and will be renovated and furnished as quickly as funding permits. The project budget is as follows:
 

1. $600,000 for an approximate 1,800 square foot addition, a new garage and renovations to the existing structure which will include, but not be limited to, kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, new floor coverings, repainting the entire home, universal access, fire suppression system, furnace & A/C replacement, and roof replacement.
2. $100,000 for furniture, fixtures, appliances and a vehicle to provide transportation.
3. $100,000 for a maintenance endowment fund.

Brief Description of the Glenmoira Home

The home we have acquired and are seeking to renovate can be briefly described are as follows:

• 4 bedrooms to house four (4) residents
• Single floor living for residents
• Garage to house vehicle and to provide additional storage
• At least 3 bathrooms
• Location: Westlake, Ohio
• Approximately 3,350 sq. ft.

Upon completion, we intend to own the home and agree with Family Haven, Inc. for them to manage the property and operate the home for developmentally disabled adults for at least 10 years.
